Welcome. I am currently the Collections & Virtual Services Manager at Willoughy-Eastlake Public Library. Previously, I worked at Overdrive, the leading full-service digital distributor of ebooks and audiobooks to the library market, for five years. I graduated with my MLIS from Kent State in May 2009. I have a firm understanding of library’s complex relationship with the digital publishing industry and emerging technologies. Although I grew up in Ohio, I’ve also spent time living on the shores of Ireland and in the mountains of Scotland.
Education and accessibility have been the core of my academic and professional interests. I believe that sharing knowledge and resources with our community is one of the most powerful things we can do. I have sought out ways to improve access to information especially as the information landscape shifts and evolves.
The impulse to keep to yourself what you have learned is not only shameful, it is destructive. Anything you do not give freely and abundantly becomes lost to you. — Annie Dillard
I am passionate about technology that enables people and organizations to do things faster and smarter. I love simple technology that solves complex problems. I have experience building websites from scratch using HTML/CSS and WordPress.
