Welcome. I am currently a QA Engineer at Gaia GPS. I test new mobile & web features, identify & reproduce bugs, and track down regressions. I am passionate about improving software usability and accessibility with the goal of reducing any barriers of entry.
Previously, I worked as the the Collections & Virtual Services Manager at Willoughy-Eastlake Public Library and at Overdrive, the leading full-service digital distributor of ebooks and audiobooks to the library market. I graduated with my MLIS from Kent State in May 2009. Although I grew up in Ohio, I’ve also spent time living on the shores of Ireland and in the mountains of Scotland.
Education, usability, and accessibility have been the core of my academic and professional interests. I believe that sharing knowledge and resources with our community is one of the most powerful things we can do. I have sought out ways to improve access to information especially as the technology landscape shifts and evolves.
The impulse to keep to yourself what you have learned is not only shameful, it is destructive. Anything you do not give freely and abundantly becomes lost to you. — Annie Dillard
